The sun was rising over the skyline that morning, the camp was still sleeping, and well that was something good in some ways, Rick had been up all night checking if any lost walker was around. There had passed three weeks since Rick's group and Emmy's joined, now they were a large group of more or less 16 or 20 living ones, that was something... good. But for the fact that the walkers would smell them sooner.
Sakura woke up as soon as the sun light painted of a dim purple the dark morning sky. She used to train every morning, she needed to be ready for any walkers' attack, she had never liked to be unprepared in any kind of situation. She changed her clothes and then walked off her tent, she took her Katana with her. She looked around and saw a man on the old man's van, she didn't know his name yet.
She nodded at the man and then walked some steps far from the camp, she needed room to move with the katana as she trained. She had learned that kind of martial art from her father, before this hell fell over the world, his father used to have a martial arts' school back in Korea. She had learned everything, from the way to move your fist and hit someone to how to properly use a sword and be deathly with it, but always to defend herself or the ones she cared about, never to hurt others.
“Walkers!” shouted the man, Sakura looked at him and then to the point where he was showing with his finger. “don't shoot!” said Sakura, the sound could bring more walkers sooner, looking at the walkers, there were just three of them, not really a dangerous situation if you move fast enough to slash them before they could bite you. She moved towards the walkers and slashed the one in the front, its head rolled to the ground while she was slashing the second one and finally by the time the second one was falling she decapitated the third one. She looked around and there were no more of them, at least not close enough, not yet.
“we need to move... they are starting to show up...” she whispered and then waved at the man on the van. “everything safe now” she told him and then walked to Emmy's tent, they needed to move from there and soon. "Emmy... I'm sorry if I woke you up, but... we need to talk"

"Sakura?" Came the somewhat tired and weighted voice as the young woman tilted her head at the visitor. Without thinking much on it she raised to her feet and wiggling past the belongings that littered her tent she emerged to the outside now standing in front of the Asian woman. Emmy hadn't exactly been asleep. She rarely slept nowadays though not for the reasons that usually plagued her.
Before she had been awake countless nights worrying. Being horribly depressed. Wondering what happened to Jeremy. Wondering what they could and should do next. If she had done the right thing. What had happened to her family? Her friends? So many thoughts with not enough answers. These previous worries had been replaced with late nights remaining wide awake speaking to none other than the older Nathaniel Walek. They spoke about just about anything. Conversation came strangely easy even though they were doing it, in what they presumed to be, secret. If only they knew that some others were catching on to what they couldn't catch on to themselves.
"What's going on?" She inquired with a sigh not meaning to be rude just hinting to the fact that she hadn't gotten much sleep and was trying to wake up. Rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly with her right hand she then proceeded to brush a few strands of messy brown hair behind her ear. "What's up?" She asked again secretly dreading the answer. Usually when Sakura sought her out in such a manner it was never anything good. And while Emmy had turned over full control of the group to Rick Grimes it seemed that Sakura was having trouble grasping the concept as she still came to Emmy with every development. Emmy couldn't help but wonder why that was.
"You know Sakura, sporting the face like you are you're making me think this isn't good news." She attempted to joke with a weak little smile before crossing her arms over her chest bracing herself for the word.

When Sakura heard Emmy's voice, she knew she was tired and would have wanted to stay in her tent longer, but this issue couldn't be delayed, they had to move, they had to go to other city, town or whatever, that peaceful place wasn't safe enough, those three walkers had proved it. “I'm sorry”
She nodded in sign of greeting, she couldn't forget her customs after all. Then she looked at Emmy and smiled at her joke, it was good that even in those times, Emmy was still able to joke and smile. She was bad with jokes, she had never been able to tell a joke in the proper way, they always sounded weird and not funny at all, so she stopped trying to be funny. ”Sorry to that, ut again you are right” she stoped smiling and sighed before telling her the bad news. “there were three walkers coming into the camp, just some minutes ago... I killed them, but if they had already showing up, then there must be others like them, following... our scent” She said and smiled in a sad way at her.
Sakura knew that Emmy wasn't the leader anymore, that she had turned over the full control of their group to the man called Rick Grimes, but yet, for Sakura Emmy was their leader. Not just that, Emmy was her friend and the one she could trust no matter what, she knew Emmy would talk to the other leader and they would find a solution. Besides, she didn't feel comfortable talking to that man, she didn't know why, maybe because in a way he reminded her of her brother, and he made her think a lot on where and how was her brother.

"Don't be." Emmy was quick to correct her, even when overcome with tiredness. Shifting a bit where she stood she studied Sakura's face for a few fleeting moments only to come to the following deduction: "Unless you have reason to be..." Her voice trailed off and she instantly felt her insides tie themselves right up in knots. Disgusting, even painful knots. No, this couldn't be good. "Do you have reason to be?..." She rephrased seriously in a quiet voice, doing her best not to alarm the others on the campground who had a habit for eavesdropping.
No. It definitely was not good news. Far from it actually. Emmy now found herself wishing that she could go back in time and make Sakura tell Rick Grimes this news instead of herself. "Three?" She repeated, her brown eyes briefly glancing down at the grass as if it held the answers. Three wasn't many especially dead but wherever there was some more were destined to follow. It was practically a guarantee.
"Did you tell Rick about this?" She had to force herself to look back up at the woman. Perhaps she had to rephrase so that the woman understood. "You really should tell Rick about this. Not me." No, Emmy wanted to be the last one to know ESPECIALLY since she was planning on leaving. Very few knew of her plans to do this... In fact, to her knowledge, only one... She was going to search for Jeremy or at least for the facts of what had happened to him, no matter how realistic. She *had* to know.
Reaching out she gently, yet firmly, grabbed the woman's upper arm leading her away from the tent. Emmy spoke in a firm whisper, her brown eyes unwavering. "Listen... This isn't good news. Far from it but you should really tell Rick. He's the one leading new. He's the one you should be telling Sakura. This isn't the first time I've told you this..." She spoke all in one breath, desperate to get the words out and for the woman understand them 100 percent.

Sakura looked at emmy while she was kind of deliverating what to do about the new information that she had just gave her, maybe she was already planning how to tell the other leader, or maybe she was deciding how to keep all of them safe, but when Emmy talked again, Sakura's hopes crashed hard against the ground under their feet.
“No” she said after Emmy's first question, she hadn't told Rick about it, first she didn't know where he was, second she didn't want to talk to him, he reminded her of her brother, she didn't and couldn't think on him in that moment, she couldn't allow herself have a slight weak moment, or she would die and other would die with her. So she really had lost all her guts to be their leader?! Or was it something else?... Jeremy.
Then Emmy dragged her far from the other ones in the camp, there she whispered some real, but harsh words. Sakura looked at her and sighed. “I know... but I don't know where he is now, so I told the other person I know that can do something about it” then she shook her head slightly and then after bitting her lower lip, she looked into her eyes, she really cared about Emmy, she was her friend.
“You'd have never turn over the leadership... is it because of Jeremy?” she asked and then waited. She had always been like that talking honsetly from the bottom of her heart. She knew what was to be worried day and night for the one you loved or cared about, Emmy for Jeremy, herself for her brother, Kaede. “what are you really up to?” she feared Emmy could do something crazy about Jeremy, Emmy was going to get angry at her, but better an angry living friend, than a walking dead friend.

"No. I don't think it's your business." She responded all too quickly and instantly regretted it. For one she didn't want to come across as testy or mean. Two her responding so quickly would cause Sakura to jump to conclusions about the reasoning behind what she was doing. None of which was good in Emmy's opinion. Either way it was too late now. Sakura was a very bright girl and already she was onto the fact that Emmy was planning something. Something that would change the routine here to be sure. There was no use trying to hide the news from her.
"Kegs and I are leaving." She said in a hushed voice. Kegs being the name that she referred to Keegan by. "He offered to journey southward with me... Look for more survivors.. Trying to find some answers cause we sure as hell aren't getting them here." She did her best to justify the rash decision so that Sakura couldn't rip it to pieces (as she should). Sucking in her bottom lip she bit down trying to release the tension welling within her body that threatened to eat it up alive worse than any walker might.
"Don't try to change my mind and don't think for one moment you're coming either." She was quick to put up a wall against the woman. She knew how stubborn and quick to judge Sakura could be not to mention she, without thought, would want to come just for the adventure of it all. This was something that Emmy, hypocritically, would not allow. "You have to stay here with the group. You're needed here. Got it?"

Sakura looked at Emmy and she knew that something was wrong, something was cooking in that redish head of hers and it wasn't good, she was planning to leave, only with other person, and not even a young strong one! It was a bad plan from which ever side you'd like to see it. ”I know it's not my business” those words hurt her a lot, She considered herself Emmy's friend, so when she told her so, it made her see that she wasn't, she was just a silent sword in the right moment.
“I won't go then... I see you have everything planned and prepared” she said now with her usual robotic voice, she was talking not to a friend, but to a former boss, leader. “I'll tell Rick as soon as I see him” then she looked around and shook her head, she knew it was a wrong decision. “Emmy... I miss Kaede too... and I know he's alive, but my place for the moment is here...just like yours”
Then she sighed and smiled gently, a smile that she only used with Kaede and Emmy. “but... if it is your decision, then... good luck, and I hope we see each other again” she said and half bowed at her.
Then a scream that could frozen your blood in your veins was heard, it came from the inner camp. “walkers!!” yelled a man and another scream was heard. “No... it's too late!” she looked at Emmy. “go... go now I'll help the others, you go” she then ran back to the inner camp. She was thinking on her brother, on Jeremy, on emmy, would she just go and leave the camp without help others? That wasn't like her.

"Good." She gave a single nod in response leaving nothing up to argument on Sakura's part. Deep down she was honestly relieved. It was one last thing she would have to worry about or battle out. And to be truthful if it came down to defending her point she eventually would have lost to the other young woman because the point she possessed was most definitely ascewed. She knew she would be going on an adventure and a mission that would provide no pay off. The odds of finding Jeremy alive or undead or worse -if there was such a thing- was non existent.
"They need you here." She swallowed though she did firmly believe in her own words. "You guys don't need me here. You keep saying you do but you don't. You've got Rick. He's a cop. He knows what he's doing." At least she hoped that was the case. There was nothing Emmy would have hated more than if she had led most of these innocent people to the slaughter.
Even so she returned the gentle smile, as small as it was, to the asian woman. "For sure." She returned quietly, not wanting to raise other people's attention to the contract being signed between the two of them. The less number of people to know what she was up to the better though she sincerely doubted that she would be missed at all. Emmy, like most young women, always had a low opinion on herself. It was almost obnoxious.
At the scream her head snapped around, eyes narrowed then widened. Next thing she knew Sakura was yelling at her to run. Yeah, right... Like she'd abandon them. She already found her hand had subconsciously found its way to her gun which was now pulled out on the ready. "Are you kidding?" She looked to Sakura, a hint of a glint in her brown eyes as she joked for a split second.
She took a few quick steps to follow Sakura but she was already long gone. Biting down on her bottom lip in frustration she cursed under her breath before looking back over her shoulder. Should she leave or stay for a few moments longer?

Sakura looked around and there they were, a group of 5 walkers, well enough to kill them all if they weren't careful enough. She held her sword and slashed the first's head off. then she heard emmy and looked back, she smiled slightly. She knew Emmy would never abandon them if they needed her help, it just wasn't part of Emmy to be a quiter.
"Careful! I see five, well now four, but there maybe others around" she yelled at emmy and also at the other members of the camp. one of the walkers almost grabbed her, but she ducked and turned in a spin backwards to slash it's head off.
"AAAAGGGHHHHH!!!" yelled one of the young men in the cam, one of the walkers just grabbed him from behind and bite his neck, then ripped his flesh and chewed it as the man tried to get free from it, but with that wound he would die and turn into a walker too.
Sakura frowned and then before she could run to help the man, she felt something grabbed her shoulder, it was the hand of a walker. She looked at it and stabbed her sword in his face before it could bite her. Then she kicked it away. she looked back at the man and it was too late for him, he was on the ground dead and the walker was chewing his flesh.
"where is Rick, now that we need him?" she said more to Emmy than to the others. That man was so into his own problems that it was no way he could manage the grup in a proper way.
