Character Name:Blair Marion Winters
Age: 24
Hometown: El Paso, Texas
Current Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Bio:
Blair was born into a Military family that was always constantly moving. Growing up she idolized her Father who had been in the Military since he was eighteen years old. Her father never got the boy he wanted but he always had Blair who was more tom boyish than his other daughters.
When her sisters were playing tea party she was out venturing with her Father in the wildlife. He had taught her everything she needed to know about the Earth and Hunting. Once Blair was eighteen she enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry. She had to prove to her male counterparts she was just as good as them if not better. In time she proved her worth and the guys backed off their teasing.
The one guy that had always teased her the hardest in basic training was stationed at Blair’s base. He eventually warmed up to Blair and asked her out on a date. She agreed and they steadily dated over the years. His name was Michael Hamilton.
After training Blair strived to climb the ranks after four years she finally made it to the Sargent rank. It was her dream to command just like her Father did.
She commanded nine fellow soldiers to whom she grew to care for deeply. They bonded in the first tour to Afghanistan. During her first tour, Michael admitted that he was seeing another woman Blair was deeply devastated. During a battle her mind was somewhere else and she was shot through her left shoulder. Blair was sent back home to heal for a couple months before returning to finish the tour off with her men. All her men made it back home safety. However a year later during their second tour she lost three of her men and she was devastated. It was when they came back from Afghanistan they were sent to Atlanta to protect the supposed, “Safe zone”.
To her surprise her ex-fiancée and father were in Atlanta too and they got to reunite before the virus broke out. Once the virus spread in the city the Military was struggling to force the dead back. Her unit was destroyed and Briar escaped by a sacrifice made by her Father. He had held back a group of the dead so she could get away. Blair searched for her ex-fiancee for weeks before moving on further away from Atlanta. She hopes to get the long awaited answers and closing she never received from him. Roleplay Sample:
Blair was exhausted to say the least drained to the core was more like it. Her hunt of the evil spirits took a lot out of the vivacious huntress…. She had no clue why a spirit would haunt an old abandoned cabin in the middle of the godforsaken dump. As you could tell, Blair wasn’t too keen on the New Orleans Bayou. Not that nature was bad just…the bayou was an whole other creature to her normality of vast plains.
So here she was in the bayou…the very nasty bayou in her opinion…No offense to anything living in there but the smell was unbearable to say the least. Blair could never describe how It smells since it is so unique…The water was a whole another avenue….invested with things that could eat you. Not to mention snakes…..those wriggly slimy creatures. She shuddered at the thought of snakes, ”Those slimy bastards…”
The Ghost huntress paused her walking for a moment to touch the oozing wound from her side…In all her gracefulness she fell onto something really sharp. With all her luck she would have to get the oh so wonderful tetanus shot. Oh the joy that would bring…Not.
If she didn’t move her bee hide…she would end up trekking through the bayou during the night which was a big No-No around these parts. Well I mean you could stick around and become alligator food. However she knew she would never make it out in time, Blair found herself lost in the vast New Orleans Bayou. Her attention snapped to the task on hand find shelter. After a little bit of walking she found some hope…A cabin…It looked okay…a little weathered. But why was a cabin all the way out here?
Blair was in a cautioned state when she made her way towards her shining hope….It could be some crazy ass redneck living there with traps of different assortments around the place. The little woman fingered her silver rosary and kissed the cross, a ritual for her when she was unsure about something. On the rickety wood walkway she said a silent prayer… the wood creaked with each step…
However with her keen eye she saw something was on the porch…was it a heap of clothing? When the distance between the object and her got closer, Blair realized it was a man passed out face down on the porch. Worried something was wrong with him the little woman knelt beside him. Placing her cowboy hat in close proximity to her Blair sniffed the air the man smelled of straight up booze…She had come to the conclusion that he had passed out due to alcohol not medical issues. Which was a really huge relief.
Out of the curious nature of herself Blair gently touched the man’s arm. Just like a kid with a stick…she prodded him again. He shouldn’t be laying out on the porch due to all the nasty creatures that could eat him. Once again the curious one prodded the man..but this time a little more harder. Blair hoped that he wasn't some weirdo playing a trick on her.
