Character Name: Shane Walsh
Age: Unspecified (Late 20s to Late 30s)
Hometown: Cynthianna, Kentucky
Current Location: Cynthianna, Kentucky
Bio:
Not much is known about Shane’s back ground other than he may have grown up in Kentucky. His Childhood seemed to have been average. He played football in either high school or college or both. He wears a 22 around his neck that was his football number. Shane and Rick have been best friends since high school. He and Rick became partnered up when Rick officially became a police officer. Shane found himself in the Grimes home often.
Shane tends to be very loyal and protective of his friends and will do whatever it takes to make sure the ones he cares about is safe. Shane is afraid of being left alone and does whatever he can to keep from losing what he feels like is a since of normality to his life now that zombie’s have taken over the world. He is pretty good at hiding his fears and stepping up the challenge of leading the way and keeping others around him out of harm’s way. He is careful but still seems to be lost without his best friend calling the shots.
He always lived in Rick's shadow and while he never consciously resented it, he relished his newfound position of authority. However, when Shane's leadership within the group is challenged after the return of Rick, it pushes him over the edge, and he begins losing his temper and his control with increasing regularity, making him reckless, erratic and dangerous to everyone around him.

The morning crept over the tiny camp of huddled pup tents and one lone RV, the sun was peaking over the trees when sounds of stirring from other tents could be heard. The heat from the summer sun drove Shane from him light and weary sleep. He was dehydrated from all the sweating he had done the night before over a memory turned nightmare. He sat up and reached over and picked up a canteen he managed to hold on to and drained the last little bit of clean water from inside. With a grunt and a sigh he grabbed his last clean tee and pulled it on over his head. Then he tugged on his socks and boots and crawled out of his tent with his rifle in hand.
Shane leaned his rifle against the side of the tent and stretched out his five foot ten frame, he was surprised to see how many where just crawling from their own tents. He picked up his rifle and walked over to the center of the camp grounds and took a seat closet to where the kids where gathered playing. Shane picked up a rag he was sure was clean and started breaking his rifle down; it was in need of a good cleaning. While he was cleaning his rifle he casted a searching gaze around as if he was looking for something or someone. When he was sure his rifle was cleaned and top condition he put it back together and stood up.
He walked with an attitude and looked like someone had kicked him. His dream was still on his mind and he needed to speak with someone about what was going on inside his head but the only person he could trust with something like this was hiding from him, so he thought. He searched all over the camp for her but did not find her. Then someone pointed him in the right direction, they told him they had seen the woman head down to the lake to do some washing. Shane nodded his thanks and walked down to the lake. He found the woman he was looking for and walked right over to where they were just sitting and talking.
Slinging his gun on his back he put his hands on his hips and drawled softly, “Lori, can we talk?” The other woman around Lori could tell that he seemed upset but no one said anything. Shane just gazed at her and nibbled on his own lip a bit wondering if she would turn him away when all he wanted was to speak to her. It was all up to her.
