Likes:
Making new friends, and making people laugh. Camping, hiking, hunting --basically anything that involves physical activity. Guns of all kinds, but particularly handguns. Gadgets. Ryan is a bit of a sucker for gadgets, whether it's the latest cell phone, computer, or firearm attachment. Reading; despite being so jockish in other ways, Hawke enjoys having a good book to read, preferring fiction that is grounded in reality, such as spy or detective novels or even medieval tales.
Dislikes:
Despite being very physically active, Ryan can't stand people who have to turn everything into a competition. He also doesn't like arrogance or selfishness, traits that are alarmingly on the rise in his opinion. Twilight. Ryan hates anything to do with Twilight, and that fact that so many people could be so friggin' obsessed with such an idiotic, sorry excuse for a story. Hawke also dislikes cooked vegetables -he'd rather have them raw or not at all.
Strengths:
-Athleticism
Due to his numerous physically demanding hobbies and training, Ryan is in very good shape and has remarkable endurance for a civilian of his age and occupation. Hawke is also stronger than he looks, although he obviously isn't a brute.
-Leadership
Hawke isn't exactly a natural-born leader, but he is fairly charismatic and cool under pressure, so people often look to him for input or guidance, meaning he has become used to stepping up to the plate as it were.
-Outdoorsman
Living out in the rurals with the woodlands of Ashland, Kentucky as his stomping-ground, Ryan has been trained in numerous survival and hunting skills, including how to handle blades and firearms.
-Cool-Headed
Ryan Lee can be a bit of a spazz, but when things get serious so does he, and he is usually remarkably cool under pressure, able to put emotion aside and make practical decisions quickly in most cases.
Weaknesses:
-Soft-Hearted
When it comes right down to it, Ryan is a softie and a bit of a romantic as well, and especially considering the harsh realities of surviving in apocalyptic conditions, this can be a liability both to himself and to others. Hawke will try to help others whenever he can, even if doing so is potentially dangerous, and he will not abide the mistreatment of women or children.
-Stubborn
Ryan isn't usually that impulsive, he generally takes time to think things through logically, which is probably why he can be quite stubborn once he believes he has come to a practical solution, meaning he can be rather difficult to dissuade once he has made up his mind. And if he's sufficiently ticked off, sometimes he will stubbornly hold his ground just out of spite.
-Perfectionist
Being a detail-oriented person, Ryan can sometimes drive himself (and others) batty with trying to get things "right" - this applies to his artistic endeavors (YouTube videos, t-shirt designs, drawings, etc) firearm maintenance and marksmanship, and even his personal appearance. Hawke also tends to get impatient when something goes wrong and he can't fix it fairly quickly.
-Restless
Hawke would never admit it and you might never know it thanks to his generally upbeat nature, but when something really bothers him Ryan tends to mull over it a long time and has difficulty forgetting or letting things go. He is also restless in the sense that he easily gets bored when he has nothing to do or no one to talk to.
