It was an early morning when something came to Ella's mind. She was about to do something so stupid but her gut was telling her to do so. Her mind was telling her to go off and find her daughter with or without her survival group. Looking for her daughter was at the top of the list with surviving but she had to do whatever was best for her, even if that meant leaving them behind and putting her own life at risk. She quickly got dressed that morning and grabbed her bag of three handguns and has many bullet shells that she had left. She knew that she was going to seem crazy for doing this but family came first and her daughter had been on her mind since she was taken away by her husband.
She slowly opened up her tent and put her back pack on both of her shoulders. Ella didn't want anyone to see her leave because they would tell her that it wasn't a good idea or that doing this would cost her, her life but she knew that knowing well hoping that her little girl was out there and hoping that she was alive kept her going and she didn't wanna stop and have the chances be that her own flesh and blood had been killed and turned into those flesh eating Zombies. She looked in all directions at the campsite and saw no one. She figured that most of them were still sleeping in their tents or had gone to look for food of some kind.
Ella moved quickly behind tree's. So far not seeing anything that seemed undead and she hadn't heard footsteps or grunts of any kind either. She moved through the bushy wilderness and walked quietly though just encase she would run into something and she kept her handgun close. It was the only thing that she knew would keep her safe for now. She was moving faster then she thought and could see the city getting bigger and bigger. Her gut had told her that maybe just maybe her little girl was trapped in a building trapped in a room by herself well even though she knew that sounded crazy but she had to do what she had to do.
She saw a walker that had appeared outside of the wilderness. She at first wasn't so sure if she should have shot it dead or let it roam, but at the same time she knew that this meant that more walkers would end up reaching the campsite if she didn't shoot this one in the head. She aimed her handgun in the direction of the rotting corpse and shot it straight in the head. She saw a huge moving truck outside of the forest She looked all around and made it that her feet hardly made any noise on the gravel that she stood on. So far there was nothing in front or behind the moving truck. She began to hope that the truck would work and it would be an easier way to get into the city. She opened the door to the truck and saw nothing but found keys.
Ella slammed the truck door and tried to start it but nothing happened. She was happy to say that both of the windows were up all the way and she locked the doors. She was trying to think of another plan but before she could do that she saw some more Walkers appear out of no where. Great now she was trapped in a truck with the doors locked. She didn't know where to go and now no one would be able to find her. Instead of looking toward the walkers that were walking toward the truck that she was in she went down under the seat and put herself in a fetal position. She was worried now and knew that she did something stupid like going out all alone into the city by herself. Now she was just hoping more people would go into the city and help her. She kept herself rocking and closed her eye's breathing steadily and praying that she would get help and the walker's would walk past the truck.

Ashe and Seth walked down the street silently, as usual. Seth held a book in his hands and was reading slowly. Ashe rolled his eyes, it annoyed him that he could read and walk and manage not to trip over anything. As they walked Ashe couldn't help but say "This is your fault you know! You didn't get enough gas for us to keep driving". As if on que Seth produced a large note covered in writing that said Maybe if you hadn't stirred up the Walkers trying to get cigarettes then we could have gotten more gas. Ashe stared at him with pure annoyance over his face, the only thing he hated more than Seth not being able to talk was his uncanny ability to write the truth. Ashe crumpled up the note and tossed it.
As they continued their long arduous walk down the lonesome highway Ashe pulled out a cigarette and lit up. He couldn't help but thanking god that there were still cigarettes in the world. After a few moments of walking in silence the two heard a gunshot. Reflex kicking in they both pulled out their guns. Seth sported a Smith and Wesson but Ashe chose to go with a Beretta. Both good pistols. After a moment of silence they continue walking cautiously. They had run into crazy people willing to shoot them, looters. After a few steps they saw their first Walker. Now a smart person would have tried to move quietly around it, but Ashe was never really smart. He took aim and shot it in the head. Seth stood their and rolled his eyes and produced another note which read Do you have to shoot EVERY one of them that you see?. Ashe sighed, wondering when the hell Seth managed to write all these notes.
They continued their walk but it didn't take them long to see the truck almost surrounded by Walkers. Ashe took one look at Seth to see that he knew what was coming. Seth merely sagged his shoulders and looked down in utter defeat, he knew not to try and argue with Ashe. They both took aim and started shooting. In a matter of seconds almost all of the Walkers were dead. Ashe laughed aloud before saying "Nothing lets off steam like shooting a couple of Walkers!" He then looked at the truck and said "I might be able to get that one started if it has enough gas in it". Seth looked at him hesitantly before shrugging. With that they started to walk over to the truck.

Still rocking back and forth in a fetal position Ella did that. She never thought this would be the way she was going to die, but maybe that meant she could see her daughter again even though she had a feeling she was out there somewhere. Suddenly she heard gun fires and perked her little head out from underneath the seat of the truck. Had she just been saved? It was like a call from God that her time wasn't up just yet. She had been saved but being saved had a limit since most walker's were begin to walk that way if they were that desperate for food.
She held onto the steering wheel of the truck and saw two male figures. Both of them looked alive and not bitten or anything. She took her gun with her and stepped out of the truck. For the moment being she was thankful to be alive and not dead at all and she wanted to thank these to strangers and maybe help them out if they needed it. She walked a little bit closer to the two men and saw that they seemed in perfect shape and everything. A smile appeared on her face. She felt like she had been saved and it was a good feeling to know that instead of rotting in a truck and could of died.
Ella fixed up her hair and held her gun up close to her. She didn't know exactly what to say to these two boys except thank you, but at the same time she was worried that more walker's were going to soon approach them and that all hell would break loose once again. She waved her gun in the air and walked even closer to the men. "Hello there, thank you for getting rid of those walker's for me." She responded with a cheery tone. She had to be happy because she was just so close to have been turned into zombie lunch.
She took a few more steps closer to them. "I'm Ella by the way and i just wanna thank you again for saving my life, damn i hate those walker's so much." She added and took her hand out for an introduction. "By the way if you two are looking for a place to sleep for the night and fresh food if you go up that mountain there is a camp where all survivors are welcome, but since you two are already here could you come into the city with me? I need to stock up on some weaponry?" She asked out of the blue but she knew she would need more ammo and now she would have people to go with her into the city even though that just wasn't the best idea anyways.

The las thing Ashe expected was for a young woman to walk out of the truck with a gun in her hand. He had been used to people trying to kill him but they never seemed so cheerful after almost getting eaten. Ashe smiled a little out of suprise when she walked up and introduced herself. He reached out and shook her hand as he said "Nice to meet you, Im Ashe, are you alright?". He noticed that his thick Irish accent still held in his voice, he hoped to god that the woman wouldn't as if he was Scottish, he hated when that happened. He looked over to his friend and said "That's Seth, he's mute so he I have to give the introduction". Seth nodded to Ella and then walked over to the truck inspecting it. Ashe followed him, all the while listening to the woman. In a matter of seconds she offered them a place to stay, food to eat, and then asked for them to go into the city with her. Ashe looked quizzically at Seth who merely shrugged.
They hadn't experienced much friendliness from other people since leaving Texas. Ashe clenched his fist for Seth to see, it was their silent way of asking about supplies. Seth looked away as if thinking and then shook his head. Ashe swore under his breath, they didn't have enough food and ammo to pass up the opportunity. Their biggest rule was not to trust people, they could all end up screwing you over one way or another. After a few seconds Ashe merely sighed and said "Thanks, we could use a place to stay. And we would love to go to the city with you". They would use the time in the city to stock up on supplies and then leave early in the morning to be safe, that was always their plan. Ashe smiled at the woman before getting hit in the head by a paper airplane, Seth and his damn notes were starting to wear down on Ashe's nerves. Ashe unraveled it and read the words slowly Why is she alone if she is going to get supplies for a camp? Be careful. Yet again Seth managed to be annoying and smart at the same time. Ashe crumbled the note and threw it away before asking flat out "So why are you alone? Shouldn't their be atleast two people on a scavanging mission?".
He walked over to the truck and popped the hood, he knew Seth would be messing with the wires in the driver seat. In seconds Ashe was deep in the truck messing with it, trying to get it to start. As he worked he asked "So how long you people been staying here? Don't the Walkers find you sometimes?". He kept working and after a moment the truck started. Seth snapped his finger and took off to grab their bags. Ashe turned back to Ella and eyed her gun carefully the last thing he needed was for her to try and shoot him, he didn't want to have to kill her. But something about her just wasn't clicking.

She looked at the two men. So far things were looking up, but something just didn't seem right. Were they really good guys? What if they were criminals or something. She felt a bit uneasy for a second but snapped herself out of it. "Oh I'm perfectly alright, it was all my fault trying to go into the city by myself." She said to them and nodded when they were introduce"Nice to meet you both, your friends mute, lucky guy."ed. She said while her head was still nodding. Was she making herself seem like she was up to something. She hoped not all she wanted to do was search the city for her daughter and she felt more safe having other people there.
At least it was good to hear that they would like a place to stay and all. She knew the other's would be happy to know she found more survivors which was a good sign that not everyone was exactly dead, well at least not now. "Really you would do that for me? Thank you..." She said in an uneasy tone but she had a feeling that maybe just maybe they would leave her there to rot and to die and become a walker which wasn't something she wanted to happen and all. She began to think inside of her head. Maybe the city was not just a good place to go at the moment. Maybe she would go with people that she had known longer instead of perfect stranger's that would ditch her for their own safety. "You know how bout we don't go into the city and just head up to camp." She suggested since she'd rather be safe in the woods then in the city.
She scratched the tip of her head and spoke to answer his question. "We've been up there for two days now, we try to move at least every two days and all, but sometimes we don't have the supplies we need for our own protection." She answered but it was true and she knew that it was better to be safe then sorry and she just wanted her daughter back in her arms even though lurking around the city was the worst idea she had ever thought of. "To be honest i wasn't going into the city for weapons i was looking for my daughter." She finally admitted it was better to tell the truth then seem like a fake just trying to get their way.

Ashe continued to inspect the truck while Seth loaded their bags into the back. He listened intently to the woman talk, he was glad they had managed to save her before she got infected or killed. He continued to glance at her as she talked, her story was sounding more and more unbelievable. First she wanted them to go to the city and now she wanted them to go back to her "camp". Ashe had seen stuff like this in Afghanistan. Slowly he remembered the time he had been on guard detail and a woman had flashed him and the other guy he was with, as soon as they turned to look at her walk away a sniper took out his buddy. This seemed a little like that, he couldn't help looking around to make sure that no one was trying to sneak up on them.
Once he was sure the truck was fit to travel he turned and looked back at the woman before asking "So how many people are in your camp? If you move around alot I would think it would be small". He was trying to see if she would catch herself in a lie, he slowly traced his finger over the handle of his Beretta. He wouldn't kill her but he would have to scare her away somehow if things got bad. Finally the woman said that she wasn't going into the city for supplies but for her daughter. Ashe straightened up quick before asking "Your daughter?". Ashe took one look at Seth who merely stared at the woman for a moment before looking at Ashe and nodding. Ashe sighed as he turned back to look at Ella and asked "Are you sure she is in the city? If so we're willing to go help you get her". Ashe knew what it was like to lose family, he had to shoot his own brother the first day everything went to hell. He didn't want to leave this woman wondering if her daughter was safe or not. Ashe looked around the street and noticed a few Walkers showing up, he silently cursed himself for being so stupid.
He then looked at Ella before saying "Whatever you wanna do you better choose fast because if we don't leave here in a moment then this whole place will be covered with Walkers.

Ugh this was the time she hated being interrogated by two men that she had just met. It was like they wanted to know everything about her to make sure she wasn't some sort of bad guy. She was a good person even though her past was filled with cheating and conceiving a baby girl and not knowing who her father truly was but she wasn't one to pull a fast one on any one especially two men that had weapons with them when all she had was a pistol in her hand. Was it just her or did is seem like going into the city was a bad idea every single second.
She bit the corner of the lip. Why did they have to know how many people were at camp with her? Did they think she was lying and that she was up there all by herself sleeping with tree's? "There are twelve people up there including myself. Its not a super small group but it is a group none the less." She told them. She looked at both of them unsure of how they were going to react to what she had just told them. Hopefully it would be nothing bad and all but she did have her doubts about both of these men and what their true intentions were. "Yes my daughter, i had a dream that she was in the city, i know it sounds odd and weird but even my gut tells me so, but i don't want anyone to die if she isn't there." She responded to them. She was now using her smarts instead of thinking that Valerie could be there and now it was time to get to camp and stay alive.
She twisted her body and began to see walkers and this felt just like it did awhile ago. Now she began to think all in general going into the city was a bad idea and now it was time to head up to camp before someone got killed. "I think we should get to camp, the city isn't safe, maybe in the morning we can go but as of right now we need to hustle our ass's back to camp where it is safe there for now." She told the two men holding her gun straight in the direction of a walker and shot it right in the middle of its head. "Now lets get a move on before more arrive." She said to them as she began to run into the woods hoping they would follow her.

Ashe listened carefully to what she was saying and after a while he took another look at Seth. Seht just looked at him and shrugged, which was probably Seth's way of saying screw it, lets go check it out. Ashe sighed and grabbed his Benelli M4 shotgun and nodded to Seth. Seth nodded back and grabbed his suppressed MP5 submachine gun. The two then turned off the truck and started following Ella. As they got into the woods Ashe tapped Seth on the shoulder which signaled him to make his move. Seth turned, kneeled down and took several quiet shots that took out the Walkers around them. With that they continued to follow Ella. As they ran through the woods Ashe caught up to her and said "I just wanted to say I was sorry about all the questions! We've ran into alot of bad people who would do almost anything to survive. We just had to make sure you weren't one of those people".
As they continued to run Ashe kept looking back to make sure Seth was with him. Seth kept looking around them to check for Walkers, if the camp was nearby then they may have put everyone in jeopardy. Ashe then turned back to Ella as he said "About your daughter, if you think that she might be in the city then me and Seth will help you, we're both pretty good with guns in case you haven't noticed". Ashe smiled back at Seth and noticed he had Ashe's guitar slung around his back, why is it he always saved that damn guitar? It was pointless unless he planned to smack a Walker upside the head with it.
After a moment Ashe stopped running and pulled out his cigarettes and lit one up. He took a deep drag and blew out a huge plume of smoke. He looked at Ella and smiled as he offered her one. "I know its a bad habit, Seth tells me all the time, but a cigarette can take off a load of stress". Ashe took another drag before looking around to make sure they were safe, he couldn't see nor hear any Walkers nearby.

As they continued to run through the woods Ella felt her heart beat faster and faster. She couldn't believe that her life was in jeopardy almost two times in a single day. This wasn't natural and maybe it was her fault to begin with anyways. She saw some more walker's as she ran and pulled out her gun tomb raider style and shot two and kept running for it. Today wasn't her day but at least she was good at using her gun for now until she ran out of ammo. At least she could head up to camp and warn everyone about walker's and make sure everyone got out safely and found another spot if needed.
She looked at him and let out a small quick smile. "Oh thats alright, in the past i've met people that can't be trusted either, sometimes they turn out to back stab you in the back and other's end up being the ones that actually want you to survive." She said to him as she kept making a run for it. It was good to hear what he said it made her understand him completely. Besides she was a stranger to him and they didn't know eachother that well.
Ella kept running. She wasn't out of breathe yet. She had gotten use to running away from walker's it was pretty much an every day routine when she left camp or when camp had to move to another area. "Well the thing about my daughter was her father took her away after the outbreak had started she could be in any state, and i was just curious to see if maybe just maybe she was in the city and that was a stupid idea." She said as her feet kept moving running faster and faster.
She saw him lit a cigarette. Yuck she hated cigarettes and all and there was no way she was going to smoke. It was just how she rolled. "Uh no thank you, hopefully in the future when you have to run away from walker's that doesn't slow you down." She said finally she stopped her feet and looked around. They were closer to camp now and there was no sign of walker's so she took a few breathes and waited for them to stop aswell.

Ashe finished his cigarette quickly and put it out, he stared at Ella as he asked "How old is your daughter? Whats her name? If you don't mind me asking". Ashe was curious, he felt sorry that the woman didn't have her child. The idea that she might still be alive out there was a nice thought. If he could do anything to help her then he would. Ashe caught a quick glimpse of his brother, how long had it been since he died? He quickly put the thought out of his head, this was no time to think of the dead, it was time to think of living.
He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with air in case he would have to run some more. He then did an ammo check to make sure they were ready to shoot something. He had twelve more bullets for his Beretta and eight shells for his M4. He nodded to Seth who did the same before nodding back. He smiled back at Ella before saying "Alright, we're ready to keep moving when you are". With that he slowly started to build up speed through the woods. He quietly looked at Ella again before saying "Don't worry about the smoking, ive been trained to endure alot. I was in the Marines with the world went to hell". He smiled and shook his head at the idea that he just barely managed to get home before everything changed. One extra day and he would've been sent by the military to some random hospital too help the infected. He nodded to Ellla before saying "Your pretty good with your gun, what did you do before this?"
He shook his head at himself, he tended to talk alot. Seth wasn't exactly the best conversationist so it was good to actual talk with someone who could speak for a change. He then sighed and said "Sorry if me smoking bothers you, im not used to being near people except for Seth". He looked back at Seth who merely smiled back at him.
