Good point. I look about as much of a lady as one of those walkers. Even so, will you please stop looking at me like that. I am not some helpless princess! I do not need saving. I have been on my own since this began, I am more than capable of looking after myself. Oh, don’t look so surprised. I might be little, but I know how to handle a gun, alright? As for the alone part, my parents died before this mess, I haven’t seen my friends since then either. Well, actually, I ran into a couple of them at a convenience store the week before last, and, believe it or not, I shot them. I thought I told you not to look so shocked?

What am I doing in New York? Darlin’, I was born here. It’s my home. Yes, I know it’s particularly dangerous, and yes, I am aware I’ll have to leave soon. But not yet. I’m not ready to leave, and won’t until I absolutely have to. Did I mention that I have a stubborn streak? Once I decide something, I stick with it. There’s no time to be ‘um’-ing and ‘ah’-ing all over the show if you have walkers on your left and right. And I have no problem getting my point across if I have to. Just because I’m a girl, and a rather young one at that, does not mean I have no clue what I’m doing, okay? Needless to say, I brush a lot of people up the wrong way. And, strangely, I’m okay with that. The fact I talk a mile a minute also gets on people’s nerves. I once met this other survivor who pulled his gun on me because I was talking too much. It was incredibly rude of him, but I couldn’t help but laugh a little. It wasn’t until he cocked his gun that I shut up. Some people are so touchy…

Romance? Is there such a thing these days? I didn’t have anyone before the outbreak, and for now, it’s more than likely to stay that way. A little flirting here and there is good fun in the meantime, right? Haha, that’s an understatement. I like to flirt, no lie. And while I’m single, why shouldn’t I? But if the right guy comes along during the outbreak, I’ll stop my flirtatious ways. I mean it. And knowing my luck, that’ll be exactly what happens. I’ll meet the right guy in the middle of a war zone. Oh, goodie…

What do you mean, ‘what about my friends’? Didn’t I just tell you I didn’t know where they were? There is one friend, though, that I haven’t seen for months who I’m a little afraid for. Her name’s Ella and we’ve been best friends for a while. Thing is, I have no clue where she is. But if, by some miracle, I find her I’d protect her like mad. She has a daughter, you see, and my reckless bravery would no doubt come in handy in helping to defend Ella. I would do the same for all my friends. It’s like they all have so much more to live for than I do, and I… don’t. So while I may be a little stubborn and argumentative, you can bet your ass that I’ll do the right thing when I have to. Self-preservation is only a good thing when you’re on your own. Anyway, I gotta run. Good luck, friend!

Ruby’s currently hiding out in New York, but knows she must move South before long because the City’s getting far too dangerous. She’s heard rumours of a camp down South, and that’s more than likely where she will be heading. So people she’s met in NY, on her little journey, and when she arrives at the camp would be awesome. She’ll need friends (close and distant, old and new), maybe a couple of people she just can’t get along with and a few lovers would be nice too, past and future. Plot Rubes up! I’m open for pretty much anything.
