before coming to atlanta, georgia with emmy's group, iain lived in
new york city, and before that, denver, colorado. before being found,
he murdered his brother out of sheer jealousy and left him to rot in
the hardware store they were hiding in. he doesn't have any
particular goal in mind other than to survive, like everyone else.

iain can be a manipulative, persuasive little liar, but that doesn't
neccesarily mean that he only cares about himself. he's been having
an intermittent relationship with ella connor for the past eight years
and ever since finding her again, he's been doing his best to protect
her. even before the apocalypse, he didn't have very many
friends, and if he did it was to use them for something. but
things are different now. you have to either get along with people or
die, and he would rather have one good friend than none. anyone
who can handle his sometimes rude and often rough personality
would be considered a friend. as for enemies, someone who
could have seen him kill his brother or someone who he doesn't get
along well with at all could work. lovers aren't out of the
question. he knows ella wants to find her family and that he can't be
with her once she does. sooo. plot, plot, ploooot. and you'll get
a cookie. because cookies are good.

Well if he was in Emmy and Jeremys' original group I'd assume they'd know one another at least.

Well I know! But what would their relationship be like? I also have Lillian who is currently with the group so she'd probably know him too... Any ideas?

I'm thinking since Iain previously lived in NYC perhaps he knew Jeremy and Emmy. Emmy's a writer, of tv and stage mainly, so perhaps she knew of Iain's work (especially since she does enjoy reading anything and everything).

Another thing that might work is perhaps in the past, before the outbreak, the two kissed on New Years or something lame like that? Perhaps they were both trashed and it was just one of those things. I could see them using it against each other just to peeve one another off.

Would Iain be interesting in tagging along with Keegan and Emmy when they leave the Atlanta group (they'll return later)?

Yeah, those could work. He takes pretty much whatever he can and uses it to make people mad anyway, haha.

Him leaving with them kind of depends on why they would be leaving and where they would be going.
