Character Name: Anna Turner
Age: 31
Hometown: Manhattan
Current Location: Atlanta Georgia
Bio:
Anna Keenan was born the youngest out of three children her parents had. Her father was a full Irish man, who co-owned multiple pubs in the 'slummier' Manhattan areas; her mother was a native of Manhattan, who was once a school nurse. She remained at home after Anna was born, never having to worry about much about money given that business with the pubs was so good; or so it seemed.
Her father and uncle were successful owners of ten pubs for around 15 years. It was when Anna was around three years old that her uncle had been shot and killed during a robbery of one of the pubs. During the criminal investigation, it was also found out that her father had ties with the local mob and had owed them a great amount of funds. It was believed that the mob had come to collect their funds from her father, to get none and shot and killed Anna's uncle. Her father was arrested and indited seven months after they put Anna's uncle to rest.
To escape embarrassment and the mob, Anna's mother moved them from their once lavish home to the 'slummier' parts of Manhattan and took on the name Turner for her and her three daughters. Moving from a five bedroom, two bathroom home into a two bedroom apartment was a big adjustment for almost everyone as well as a shock.
While Anna doesn't remember life being so grand due to her young age, her sisters certainly did as well as her mother. After working two years so hard to support the four of them, her mother eventually went into a depression and lost her job and was on state assistance because of it. Her eldest sibling (who was 7 years older than she) essentially became the 'parent' figure at the age of twelve there was very little sense of direction and support for Anna and her second eldest sibling.
It was in middle school that Anna realized her mother had essentially abandoned them as much as her father had, though she was still around and not in jail. She also realized that if she wanted to escape the life that her sister now found herself in (low income job to help them all) that she would have to excel in areas that count. School. So she applied herself and while Anna never was valedictorian of her high school class, she earned a spot in the top ten percent.
Earning grants and a few scholarships to help jump start her college career in journalism, Anna went to the local public four year university in New York, working at a pizza place the first two years and then finally a bar after realizing tips were better there for the last two years. Graduating in the top percent of her class again it seemed as if Anna's career opportunities could be endless.
Anna gets a job in Manhattan at a small time tabloid magazine; taking the first job opportunity offered to her out of excitement. She works with the company for sixth months, attaining experience before she applies at two different top notch magazines; one that sells beauty products, the other clothing. She finally attains the job with the magazine that sells clothing and does this for just under 5 years. During this time she works on her masters in journalism, which helps her attain a job a few months later at the daily newspaper in Manhattan.
During this time she is dedicated, so much that most of life has slipped past her; leaving her relationships to a few friends and even fewer numbers of boyfriends. Anna is dedicated to reach the top and become chief editor at the newspaper no matter how long it takes her. The climb is slow for her and just as she feels she is about to reach the top; the world comes to an end. Literally.
Realizing that she'd not make it on her own with the walking dead around (given she has no experience with guns, fighting or even running for her life) Anna teams up with survivors in a group formed by Emmy Robins. During a raid for food, Anna is separated due to her love for shoes and flees the New York area, going as south as possible with the belief that zombies would probably be in worse condition down there given the heat and humidity, so there must be fewer of them. She meets other survivors in Georgia (also learning that her idea isn't true) and and is now part of Grimes' survival group.
Likes:
* Frivolities not allotted (or seen much) given their current situation
* Literature; novels more so.
* Classical music
* Playing the piano and violin; when she owned them both before the apocalypse.
* Tea
Dislikes: List at least four.
* Bugs; any and all
* Alcohol
* Wearing dirty clothes
* Being told no
* Being told what to do
Strengths: I would like at least four.
* Trilingual; fluent in French and Spanish (English of course too!)
* Intelligent; Anna can see the bigger picture; what is good for the team as a whole. (see below as weakness too)
* Cook; she was an excellent cook for herself before the apocalypse. This has transferred over into what can be salvaged and still taste decent.
* Resourceful; while she has her frivolousness desires, Anna knows what is needed (and most ideal) to survive given her tough years growing up as a kid.
* Energetic; she'll try to keep a situation light and fun no matter how bleak it might be.
*Optimistic; Anna believes everything can work out as long as you hold that belief strong and true.
Weaknesses:
* No muscle tone; doesn't work out at all.
* Children; She'd never leave one behind even if her life was at risk.
* Stubborn/Intelligent; she's used to getting her way due to being able to write practically anything she wanted when she wrote columns. Anna loves being her own boss and as long as everyone can see her idea of what the bigger picture is, everyone should get along splendidly.
* Shoes; If Anna comes across a pair of heels or boots that are new she would risk her life to attain them. She believes shoes can tell everyone what type of person you are.
* Optimistic; She is easily disappointed when situations don't pan out as brightly as she thought it might.
Anything Else? Umm, no? I wanna plot lots?!

Once they were within the graveyard, the feeling of disinterest and boredom flitted from her mind and was replaced with a new sensation. Breaking the law. They were breaking the laws human's had placed by making their way over the fence after hours of visitation. Elizabeth was suddenly excited and a small cackle of amusement passed through her red painted lips as she hung on to him as they made their way from the brown colored grass to the cobble stone. Not much of the cemetery had grass, just the border that hugged the tall fence line, which made it easier for her to walk in her newly acquired black heels. But louder too as she clomped next to him. Elizabeth didn't care if she drew attention to them, she hoped it. She was starving.
The two walked in unison for some time, not certain what they were looking for. But she was certain they were looking for someone, due to Daisy's careful examination of graves and was confirmed as the sensation of searching washed over her. When she felt his face within her neck, Elizabeth wrapper her arms around his neck, allowing herself to be closer to him than they had been all night. At his words she bounced once in hope that they would go back to their suite in the hotel. Had he not been so adamant at going to see whatever it was he was looking for, Elizabeth would have reminded him that she was the boss on the honeymoon. But she was curious at what it was he was looking for, so she "sucked it up," so to speak.
Her excitement didn't last long when she felt him pull away and find what it was he had been searching for. Elizabeth looked around once and then followed him to the grave. The two didn't share the same last name, so she didn't know what the big deal was about going to see this "Jim Morrison." With a shrug Elizabeth pirouetted from both the grave and him, spinning her arms high in the air. She needed to liven things up in a place filled with nothing but old, dead bones.
Somehow she knew that they weren't done in their pursuit for the evening, which caused a small sigh to pass through her lips. There was nothing in here to entertain her while he looked for more dead people. With a leap to him, Elizabeth was back to wrapping her arms around him and pressing her lips to his. She was going to make something alive in this place tonight to keep her entertained and amused.
A scuttle to the right of them pulled her attention from him for the briefest of seconds as her eyes widened. Did her "sibling" find her after all this time? She knew it had been a bad idea to come to Paris and an even worse idea to leave the hotel room. She heard it again, this time further away. This caused her to turn away from him and press herself tight against him as she allowed her eyes to search the tops of the above ground graves and mausoleums. Elizabeth had dealt with Emalee before and had nearly killed the woman but hadn't. Emalee had lost more than Elizabeth had that night. Tonight would be a different matter. He was her's and she was his and Elizabeth would kill her "sibling" if she looked at him in a manner not befitting to her.
A flash of light blue caught her eyes and the wisp of thin locks on a tiny figure wrapped around a tall triangular shaped memorial as it disappeared. Too tiny to be Emalee and too blond as well. This caused Elizabeth to shift from a protective stance to one of intrigue. Though some vampires changed their looks every few decades or centuries, Elizabeth did not. She was certain neither would Emalee. Both were beautiful in their own way, Emalee was everything a stereotypical vampire should look like. Porcelain skin, dark hair that helped her features further define her supernatural beauty, while Elizabeth had hair of fire and freckles that told the tale of the time she spent so much of her human life outdoors within gardens.
Again she saw the light blue material weave its way around another fixture, this time catching the form of what appeared to be a girl. Did he see her? Elizabeth's amber tinted irises shifted from the running figure to him before she took off after the girl. "Come on Daaaaaaaaisy!" Running in heels was a feat for most, but not Elizabeth. She had stalked many of prey in heels as tall (and taller) as what she was wearing now. But this was not prey, this was a game of cat and mouse almost. As Elizabeth honed in on the girl, she twisted and turned to find herself in another path, leading Elizabeth further into the land that was filled with dead bodies.
Elizabeth had almost given up her chase of the girl when she had almost found herself on the opposite side of the cemetery. She had heard the sound of his own feet following after her, but she heard the sound of a beating heart. Elizabeth slowed her steps and tilted her head to the right, following the sound of the heart. She stopped outside an abandoned building that had a broken chair within it. But that wasn't the only thing within it. In the corner stood the girl in blue who was gaunt and dirty. The very sight of the girl had Elizabeth making her way into the small building and holding her hand out for the girl.
Until Elizabeth heard a warning hiss from the other side of the building. A figure that had been shrouded within darkness emerged from the shadows and made its way to the girl quickly. With a effortless motion, the girl was in the arms of the man who was obviously a vampire and his teeth not far from the girl's neck. He showed off his prize to Elizabeth and dared her to take it from him. She would too and without wasting another second, Elizabeth was running at the robust vampire man with her own teeth out and her fingers grabbing for the girl to rip it from him. She saw her first and she was her's.
