Character Name: Alexander Lupin
Age: 44
Hometown: Lincoln, England
Current Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Bio: Born in Lincoln, England to Charlie and Darlah Lupin, Alex's life growing up was a charmed one. His parents, who were both very powerful company owners, sent him to private schools and paved the way for him to be a successful businessman as well, something he realized that, as he got older, he did not want to be. But his soft-spoken nature and fear of disappointment in the eyes of his parents stopped him from saying anything about their chosen occupation for him, and so he did everything that was necessary to please them, including betraying people to get to the top. Those he betrayed were usually his best friends.
After graduating from college, his parents put in a good word for him at a sister company. Instead of taking the job, he moved away, no longer under their control, and got a job at a company that was in no way associated with his parents. He no longer had to swindle his way through the ranks, keep up a ruse, or please his parents. Soon after that, though, his mother died from a heart attack, making him regret his decision to cut any ties he had with his parents. Returning to Lincoln, England to take up the previously offered job, he found himself being controlled by his father. It was beginning to seem like a never ending circle that he was never going to get out of. His mother's death not only affected him, but his father as well. Heartbroken, his father sank into a deep depression that he said could only be comforted by alcohol, which would later be the death of him. After this happened, Alex discovered his will, which bequeathed to him his company, and unknown to him, would be the reason why he would survive the end of the world.
When he was in his mid-thirties, something happened to Alex - something that he doesn't exactly like to talk about - and he left his company in the hands of his 'second-in-command', so to speak, while he was away. He stayed away from his company and most everyone else for months, and when he returned, he began to go on business trips constantly to keep his mind off of what had happened to him. Running his company through long-distance calls and the internet, he discovered traveling to be a type of therapy to distract his mind. He only ever returned to Lincoln if something extremely important came up, which was only a few times a year.
It was during a business trip to New York City when the infection started to spread. Luckily, he was found by Emmy Robin and her group and now travels with them, surviving as best as he can, like everyone else is.

The obnoxious clicking sounds coming from her heels were becoming unbearable and as he was kneeling in front of the grave, he shot a quick glare her way, which likely went unnoticed as she was too preoccupied with her spinning. Thoroughly annoyed, he looked down at the words etched into the stone, tuning out the bothersome sounds being made by her heels as they met the cobblestone beneath them. He knew she was bored; not only by her actions, but by how she felt. There was that dull, empty feeling lingering inside of him that really belonged to her, when he was quite exuberant about this. Groaning, he stood up, getting ready to tell her to stop spinning, but was met with a leap and a kiss, causing him to smile despite himself. He couldn't stay mad at her for very long, no matter how much he wanted to. The same could be said of her. Somehow, he always found a way to get out of trouble with her, which was a complete mystery to him considering some of the things he had done to upset her. Returning the kiss, he pressed his forehead against hers only to look in the direction a strange sound came from seconds later. He didn't worry too much about it until a sense of dread hit him, causing him to look down at her and see the worried expression on her face.
And then the same sound from moments before was made again, and the feeling of dread became his own.
It could have been anything that had made that sound; a hunter, another vampire, or just someone patrolling the old cemetery. God, he hoped it was the last one. Keeping her close to him, he continued to look to his right for whomever the sound belonged to. He saw the blue and blond flash as well just as it dissolved into the night, reassuring him that it wasn't who he was thinking it would be. The retreating figure was too small to be any of those. His hold on his mate slackened and he tilted his head in contemplation as he removed his arms from around her completely. That was when Liz took off after the girl after she saw her for a second time and called after him to follow her. Groaning, he did so, but hesitantly. If the girl didn't want to be seen, Elizabeth should have kept it that way instead of chasing after her.
When she halted the chase in front of an old building, Xavier came close to running into her, but stopped only inches before doing so, not wanting to alert the girl. It wasn't much of a chase for the two vampires, and seeing as how Liz hadn't caught her during it, she hadn't even used her super speed, probably wanting it to be a challenge. "Liz - let's go," he whispered, grabbing for her arm to pull her away and stopping at the sight of the girl. Seeing her changed his mind, and he followed behind Liz, who was gradually making her way towards her and coaxing her into coming with them. This had to be some sort of a trap or something. If it wasn't, did she live here? How did she get here? Was she here before it closed for the night or did she find a way to sneak in like they had? Many questions popped into his mind, and he had intentions of asking her later.
Pausing, he sensed someone else in the room with them. Just before looking around for whatever it was, it made its move. Towards the girl. After that, everything happened very fast. Before he could stop her, Liz rushed him to try to grab the girl, and he acted instinctively. Doing the same and running at him, he ripped the vampire away from them to slam him into a nearby wall. His rash actions hinted that he might have been a newborn; a very bloodthirsty newborn who was about to miss his meal and lose his un-life. Drawing a knife out from his back pocket (he knew it was going to be useful for something) as he held him in place against the wall, he flipped open the blade to press it against the spot over his heart. Remembering that the other two were still there, he thought twice about killing the man right in front of the little girl. The vampire was lucky, otherwise he would have killed him by now. Growling as he listened to him ramble in French, Xavier yelled at him to shut up, and he obliged. Muttering to him in the language he understood, he told him to get out. If he saw him again, he was going to kill him. Releasing him, he watched him run out of the decrepit building with a grin. Folding the knife, he returned it to his pocket and looked at the girl, then Liz, sighing.
"Let me guess - we're keeping her, right?"
