Cielo Lightwood has been partially blind since she was born, along with her twin brother Rayo. Her single mother gave them up for adoption and the nurse at the hospital named them. Her name means sky, something that she'll only ever see a small sliver of. She can see shadows and the general outline of people, but prefers to move by echolocation. She clicks her tongue and listens to the way the sound rebounds off of objects.
More recently, her hearing has been extremely valuable to the groups that she's joined. Both she and her brother were enrolled in NYU at eleven, but her brother was among the first to be killed by the walkers.
This has left her bitter, though she's always been bitter of happy families and any sort of family unit in general.
Cielo is impulsive, and always has a plan up her sleeve, however hairbrained it may be. Her brother was the one that would keep her in check; now that he's gone he cant do that for her anymore.
She prefers English, reads Braille, and can speak about seven different langauges. She has the amusing notion that sign language would be hilarious to learn. She likes to make up her own rules and her own philosophy instead of following the rules of others.
She doesn't like to be treated like a kid. With the group, she'll join the adults to try and figure out plans and things. She hates pity.
Open to friends, little kid romances, enemies, etc!
