“T-twenty-four!” Harvey was caught off guard and he turned towards her again. The line tugged in his hands again and almost slipped out of them completely. “AhhH!” He gripped the line and tugged with all his might. Suddenly a large rusted old car muffler popped up out of the water and he frowned. Apparently he wasn’t much of a fisherman. “Yeah, maybe I’m not as good at this as I thought I would be.” He sighed and pulled the muffler back towards him before kicking it to the side and turning towards Dylan completely.
“Whoa? You alright!” He stepped towards her, seeing that she’s puked. “Dylan?” He looked worried, momentarily thinking perhaps she’s sick. If Dylan got sick they’d have no hope of moving quickly, and moving quickly was what had kept Harvey alive so far.
He reached down to pluck up her water bottle she kept beside her and took the cap off, offering it to her. “Here, drink this, maybe you should lay down? How long has it been since you’ve slept throught he night?” He knew that if she’d been like he and the rest of the people he’d met while on the move she hadn’t. Being able to have a decent night sleep while others kept watch was something he looked forward to.
Kneeling infront of her, Harvey studied her closely, “Why do we have to be the ones to get food for everyone else? Isn’t there someone else in your camp that can do it today? You’re not well.”
Having to adjust to living with other people again was going to be tricky for Harvey. He liked things his way and he didn’t work well in a team. That was why he’d always achieved to be the best. The best generally became the captain, the leader. The problem with that was the fact that he wasn’t a very good leader and tended to get his followers in trouble. Just like in high school when he got the entire football team suspended for hiring a stripper for a late night party with a fake ID and got them all drunk and a good portion of the boys laid.

She raised an eyebrow and nodded at him. Yes she was suppose to bring at least twenty four fish for the fellow campers it was her duty and also they didn't have no idea about her feeling sick whats so ever so this was all going to turn from bad to worse and she knew it but oh well it looked mostly like some people were not eating tonight. Well at least it looked that way as of now. "Yes twenty four..everyone at least wants to eat one full fish to one and a half of a fish." She explained. It was stressful on her that she had to do all the work but it was only because she was the one that offered and had the skills to do so."Its your first time you'll get better with practice." She added. Oh was she not feeling well at all, this was not the time to be pregnant and throwing up at all.
She shook her head. She did not want Harvey to see her like this, it was so embarrassing it was like getting canned in high school. She placed her warm hand above her mouth and kept shaking her head. "No I'm not OK...if this is what i think it is i don't think it will go away any time soon." She responded but she knew she was just telling him that if she was truly preggo being nauseated and throwing up was just the natural thing but at least she wouldn't be sick with the flu of any kind.
Dylan reached for the water bottle that was in his hand and took a few long sips. It was rather odd that he was asking this question since most of the time the men at her camp were the ones that stayed up during the night to watch the camp for any walkers. "I've been able to sleep pretty well, just the usual i guess...there have been a few times where i wake up in a cold sweat but other than that I've slept like a baby." She replied and gave him a weak smile. She could tell that he knew something wasn't right with her and she knew exactly what it was.
She gave one long sigh and looked up at her prince in shining armor. "There are a few others but they usually are night watcher's too, but i guess you can ask them to go and find food for everyone else..." She said to him as her voice seemed to disappear Dylan looked as if she was going to puke once more. She patted the top of her chest and then opened her mouth and a watery substance came out of her mouth. This was not the perfect time to be throwing up in front of the one guy that she loved and she felt more embarrassed. "Harvey i am perfectly fine...." She drifted off again and took a deep breathe.

Harvey nodded, his brow furrowing. "Let's go then. I'll find someone else to do this and you can lay down and rest. How often do you guys keep on the move?" He reached down to help her to her feet, "Do you need me to carry you?" He knew it was probably a dumb question. There wasn't anything wrong with her legs. But he couldn't help his overwhelming urge to protect her. Never before had he felt this way, and he secretly found it somewhat unnerving.
Even now, the spoiled brat inside him wanted to run away from the whole thing. He didn't want to be a father; he wanted to be a kid. He wanted to party and have fun. He liked having a job that he enjoyed. Life came easy for him and it always had, until this god damn epidemic. It had ruined everything, not only the world, but his life. If he could he would have given anything to change it back to the way it used to be.
But would you change it to never had meet Dylan? To never have had the time in California?
He couldn’t bring himself to answer no. But at that time he couldn’t answer yes either. He was the heartbreaker, and it had always been that way, but this time he got to be the girl and he didn’t like it one bit.
His hands remained on her arms and he was suddenly aware of how close he’d pulled her to him. His dark eyes looked down on her with intensity. Lost in thought, he remembered briefly the time they had together. The whole world could go to hell around them and he didn’t care. Not then, not as long as he had her.
“Dylan I…” He started but stopped himself. He didn’t know what to say, or how to tell her what she’d done to him. Never before in his life had he been so conflicted. He pressed his lips together, the corners of it tugging into a frown. He could see a lot had changed after her as well. But he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. It must have been what the pregnancy did to her. He didn’t need a test or a doctor to confirm her words to him, he knew she was telling the truth.
But what if it’s not yours? This thought struck him again, this time shaking him. He didn’t want it ot be his, but he didn’t want it to be someone else’s either. He thought about another man touching Dylan and instantly an insane jealousy took over. He wouldn’t have that.
With no more words, her pulled her into his arms and held her against him, his arms wrapping around her in the embrace.

Ever feeling nauseated for a moment Dylan could quickly feel the tensity between Harvey and herself. It was like the moment they had shared back at his place but of course minus the clothing. She knew deep down inside that he would always be hers, but still the thought of leaving him ran through her head. She had felt so guilty for doing that to him. She never was able to tell him how much she cared about him and loved him and right the now the timing wasn't right for her to pour her heart away.
She looked up into his brown eye's and smiled at him a weak smile. "We keep on the move every two days, well or until we find more survivors." She responded to him. She put a long piece pf her brown hair behind her ear. It was so weird to see how much he had changed in a month, and how it seemed like he would do anything for her, but at the same time he was kinda that way when they first moved in together too.
Dylan shook her head and smiled. "No i think I'm good in the walking department, oh yeah we have three cars parked up there too, the only ones that we could find that are still working." She added but she wanted him to know everything was going to be alright even though there were flesh eating zombies now and most of the world was walking around but without a pulse.
As he pulled her into his arms a tear ran down her tear. She was so happy at that very moment to be in his arms once again. It gave her that feeling that she once had before she had left him to find other survivors. It was the best feeling that she had felt in a month and she didn't ever want to let go. She put her head on his shoulder and more tears flowed from her eye's. Right then and there proved how much she loved him and now she wanted to make sure that they stayed together all the time and that they were going to stay together no matter what their future would be like.
"Harvey you have no idea how much i missed you." She spoke to him softly. She was letting him know how much she truly cared for him and how being in her arms made her feel like she use to and knowing that with how the world was that these moments were meant to be treasured. This very moment had made her so happy and all but she knew that they would have to stop being so romantic and all and head up with the other campers and prepare to move on out of the area before Walkers would approach them, but at the very same time she was so happy within his arms. It was like they were the only two on the planet and the feeling felt so great inside and out. How much she didn't want the moment to end but it just had to at some point.

He could hear her soft crying and it made Harvey feel guilty even though he knew he didn’t have any reason to be. She had left him, why was it that he felt bad. He never liked to see women cry. It not only made him feel uncomfortable but it did something to him that made him wanted to do whatever it would take to make the tears stop. He especially didn’t like having Dylan cry since he knew it wasn’t something she did often.
His arms remained around her as he simply continued to hold her. He let out a long breath and looked across the lake, trying to decide what to do. Three vehicles were a good thing, but would there be room for him in the group? If not he’d have to send Dylan on her way. Being around people was the safety thing right now (provided that the people weren’t as dangerous as the walkers.) He wasn’t about to let her leave her group and remain with him if it meant putting her in danger.
“It’s going to be okay.” He said softly, rubbing her back. Even though it probably wasn’t the case, he thought she was crying because she was scared like him. He heard her tell him she’d missed him and again he didn’t respond. He knew if he said something it would most likely sound sarcastic and kind of cold. It would be something like Well why did you leave then? or I know. He had a knack for being a smartass even when he didn’t mean to be. He was even better at being one on purpose.
With another long and drawn out sigh he took her hand but pulled back. “Let’s go back to the group. I’ll talk to them and get some of the men to come back with me and help fish. You shouldn’t be responsible to feed all those people by yourself. But whatever you do don’t tell them about the supplies.” As far as he was concerned, the food he’d brought belonged to the baby now. He wouldn’t let it or Dylan starve. Not as long as he was alive.

Now it was feeling like time was standing still and there were no walkers to worry about even though the whole reality of the situation was that there were tons of Walker's roaming around any area and that in any split second this moment with Harvey would be over, but she wouldn't tear up because she herself would know that there would be another touchy moment or at least she was hoping so. The way he held her made her feel even more so closer to him even without the dirty stuff. As he held her she looked down at her little tiny bump that she had been noticing but not really acting like it was something that important. She looked down at it and smiled and then back at him,
She lifted up her head and looked at him more closely. "You do know I'm not crying because i am upset or anything right?" She hesitated to ask but she wanted him to know that her tears were tears of enjoyment and he knew she didn't cry very often since she was more hard headed then anyone that he had ever known. While they were still closely together Dylan began to hear rustling in the tree's on the other side of the river. Her eye's pierced seeing two figure's that seemed like they were grunting.
Great now this moment was going to end because out of no where Walker's were appearing across the river from them. Her eye's widened more and more. She quickly looked up at Harvey one last time. "I don't think we have to worry about fishing anytime soon, Walker's are here...now....now we have to warn everyone and get the hell out of here." She said to him as her voice reached a panic. She could see the walker's walking into the lake, and smelling a smell that could be scented from the hill. "Harvey we better go before they end up biting one of us..or eating us whole." She added. She stood up and ran toward her bag with a shotgun and a pistol and she was lucky to say they were loaded for safety and everything.
She poked at his shoulder and just nodded. She now knew that she had to run up the hill and warn everyone that Walker's had invaded the area and now they had to scurry before anyone got bitten. Dylan began breathing heavily and placed her small hand on her tiny baby bump. This was the worst timing to be with the guy she loved and now the Walker's were here. She took her pistol out of her bag and aimed for one of the Walker's head. "Harvey we really need to get out of here now!" She shouted. "We have to warn the other's quickly...." She added and began to run up the hill as fast and she could. "Harvey grab this." She pointed to her shot gun, but she knew it would help a cause like this one anytime.
